Another hard days night

cxsiap5xcaaecltThe image shown here was taken by Eddie Mitchell @brightonsnapper who was out working last night during storm Angus. However as much as his photograph shows his dedication  to his art, the real dedication was that shown by Fire Officers from 14 fire engines presumably drawn from across West Sussex. This fire was in Bognor Regis and there were many other incidents across the South and beyond. I suspect that many people within our emergency services and many of the charities that deal with acute need were being stretched to deal with so many incidents and potential problems across the area. Thank goodness for all of their hard work and thank goodness for reliable weather forecasts which enable them to plan for such eventualities in a way that was not possible in 1987 and before that great storm.
