Faithful recycling

images (226)This morning arrived with a 6.05 call for recycling from the faithful workers of Cityclean. I confess my alarm going off as usual at 6am was a shock – sadly my alarm clock had failed to be adjusted. The rush to get the recycling out was a bit comical as the fuse for the downstairs lights in our home had tripped inexplicably, and finding shoes in the dark, let alone gathering the recycling that had been blown about by Storm Frank was far from easy. However the bin operatives were as cheery as ever, even though it was still in the relatively early hours of New Years Day 2016 and I came running out in my pyjamas. I hope this Year our Councillors will work just as hard, and just as cheerily so that we can finally redeem our reputation as a City that is very poor at recycling. Sadly I can’t expect a response to this blog from Warren Morgan, our Council Leader as he continues to prevent me from following him on twitter.
